This will probibly go on forever, but I thought I’d post here about any progress, if any on my EV(Electric Vehicle) build that I’ve been dreaming about for years.
About a year ago petrol prices here hit NZD$2 a litre and at that moment I decided to finally ask around about building an EV.
I looked on the net as you do and I thought that a 50HP/40KW car would do the job..
I talked to my Uncle Lance who works for Schneider Electric and he got me a loaner AC 3Phase 37Kw Variable Speed Controller (Altivar 71) Which was awesome! This was my first step into the EV world. Its now been sitting in my(My Dads) Garrage for the last 8 months or so.
